World Rugby holds collaborative events around the world to bring Unions together in growing the women and girls’ game. Find out more below on some of the summits and conferences which have taken place across World Rugby’s regions.

Women’s Rugby and Growth Conference - South America 

Attended by representatives from all World Rugby Member Unions in South America, this conference in March 2026 focused on developing the women’s game in the region as well as broader growth of the sport. It built on the legacy of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, specifically Brazil being the first ever South American team to compete at a Women’s Rugby World Cup.

World Rugby Women’s Rugby Global Summit

Set against the backdrop of a record-breaking Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, the Women’s Rugby Global Summit took place in London, UK in September 2025.
Attended by 400 senior leaders and decision-makers from across the global rugby and sporting industries, the Global Summit explored how the game as a whole can unlock commercial potential, increase participation, enhance visibility, and expand its future.

Impact Beyond 2025 Europe Summit

The third in the Impact Beyond 2025 Regional Summit series took place in the Netherlands in the run up to Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. Representatives from Unions across Europe spent two days in workshops focused on driving forward the women’s game, from building participation and competition offerings to empowering women in leadership positions and unlocking new sources of funding.

Impact Beyond 2025 Asia Summit

Delegates from Member Unions across Asia headed to Dubai for the Impact Beyond 2025 Asia Summit in November 2024. The two day summit focused on key growth opportunities for the women’s game, concluding with a workshop focused on developing a Women's Growth Plan. Unions were able to network and build new connections with each other, as well as hearing from other sport organisations such as the International Cricket Council. Delegates also attended the Dubai HSBC SVNs as a networking opportunity as part of the programme.

Impact Beyond 2025 Africa Summit

The Impact Beyond 2025 Regional Summit series kicked off in South Africa, with the first summit held in Stellenbosch. Representatives from six African Unions - Zimbabwe, Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Tunisia and Madagascar – took part in sessions on building knowledge and expertise to grow the women and girls’ game. Hosted by World Rugby, the Summit was delivered through a partnership with UK Sport as part of their International Partnerships Programme. Representatives of UK Sport attended the Summit to share their expertise and insights with attendees.
